Browns vs Chiefs

The Chiefs are one of the best teams in the NFL following a bye week, especially in the Patrick Mahomes era. Including playoffs, Mahomes and the Chiefs are 6-0 coming off of a bye week, so fans should feel confident that should continue that streak against the Browns.

However, since Kansas City was able to obtain the first-round bye in Week 16 they were able to rest their starters in the season finale. That means players who play significant snaps haven’t played a football game the last two weeks, so there is a chance they come out a little rusty.

Kansas City witnessed a rusty Chiefs team in the playoffs last year when they went down 24-0 against the Texans in the first quarter of the divisional round. They, of course, came back to win that game and went on to win the Super Bowl, but you can’t always expect a repeat outcome facing a deficit like that. The team has made it clear that they want to start faster this time around, so it’ll be interesting if they can back that up against the Browns.
